Broom, Stamped or Colored
A broom finish is the standard for a reason: it’s durable and it stays grippy when it’s wet, which matters on a sloped Sevier County driveway in January. But it isn’t your only option.

- Stamped concrete — pressed with a pattern so a walkway or patio reads as stone or slate
- Colored and stained — tinted rather than left grey, either on its own or with a stamped pattern
The walkway above is stamped and tinted. It reads as cut stone, it was poured as one continuous slab, and there are no pavers to settle unevenly or sprout weeds between.
What Goes Under the Slab
This is the part you never see once the job is done, and it’s the part that decides whether the slab is still flat in ten years.
We excavate and grade the base ourselves, set the forms, and tie steel into the pour rather than relying on the concrete alone to hold itself together. The photo below is a slab of ours before the truck arrived: reinforcing steel tied in a grid, sitting on a compacted stone base, inside formed edges.
Doing our own base work is also why concrete, drainage and excavation sit together for us. A slab is only as good as the ground under it, and the ground is usually where the problem is — if water is running toward where you want the driveway, that gets solved before anything is poured, not after it cracks.
Replacing Concrete That’s Already Failing
Most concrete work in this area isn’t a fresh pour on bare ground — it’s replacing something that has cracked, heaved or sunk. We take that on: breaking out the old slab, hauling it off, correcting whatever caused the failure, and pouring new.
Cracked concrete rarely fails for no reason. Freeze-thaw, a base that was never compacted, tree roots, or water running under the slab will all do it — and if the cause isn’t fixed, the new pour goes the same way as the old one.
Small Jobs and Large Ones
We pour everything from a set of steps up through driveways and multi-building sites. When a pour is larger than we’ll take on by ourselves, we bring in partners we work with rather than stretching a crew too thin over it.

Do you replace concrete that’s already cracked?
Yes. We break out the failing slab, haul it off, correct whatever caused it to fail, and pour new. Fixing the cause matters — otherwise the new pour goes the same way as the old one.
Do you do the base prep, or just the pour?
We do the whole thing: excavation, grading, compacting the base, setting forms and pouring. A slab is only as good as the ground under it.
Can you do stamped or colored concrete?
Yes. We pour broom-finished, stamped and colored concrete. Stamped and tinted work is common on walkways and patios where a plain grey slab would look out of place.
